Outside of the Bible,this is one of the best books a young man could read. It is a simple,easy-to-read,easy-to understand book full of wisdom and advice on becoming a man of God. The author speaks like a grandfather to his grandson. If you read this book and then apply it,you will draw closer to God and become a more influential man who isn't swayed by fear,lust and greed. Choose wisdom. Read Proverbs. Read this book. Honor God.
How I wish someone had given me this book in high school.
Most challenging and convicting book for young follows of Christ looking for some practical ways to grow in maturity. I would for Campus Crusade for Christ and recommend all the guys I disciple to read this classic!
Great read! Much needed words for young (and older) men to hear,and be encouraged (and convicted) by. I'm buying multiple copies to give as gifts, and suggesting the pastor/church also give this short book out to the youth in our congregation

I am eternally grateful for Bishop Ryle. This book has been heart searching, extremely convicting and and encouragement to faith in the risen Christ. Thoughts for young men should be in every genuine Christians library. May God use it to save souls.
